Where is the American University in Bulgaria located?

The American University in Bulgaria is located in the western part of Bulgaria in the city of Blagoevgrad. Close to the border of Macedonia and Greece but also approximately 100 km away from Sofia, the location of the city and the university present a perfect opportunity if you wish to travel, explore Bulgaria and its neighbouring countries but also meet many other students (as there is another big university in Blagoevgrad). Close to Blagoevgrad you can go skiing (in the ski resort Bansko), go hiking (in Pirin or Rila mountains) as well as explore one of the most scenic places in Bulgaria - Melnik. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites because of its typical Bulgarian architecture and wonderful sand pyramids.
