The mission of the University of Forestry- Sofia (LTU), as a state university is in conducting of the national policy for the development of higher education and science in the Republic of Bulgaria in a uniquely combined set of subjects related to management, and technological support in the use of earth resources, products and services. The University of Forestry has three student dormitories. Each room has a private bathroom, two beds, two desks and a wardrobe. Students must apply around August in order to book a place at the students dormitory of the University of Forestry. The rent is approximately 60 Euro per month and includes all bills. The student dormitories of the University of Forestry are located close to the university campus.

If you prefer to live in private apartment we advice you to visit Sofia in summer. There are many students who move out so the chance you will find a better accommodation place next to the University of Forestry is higher. However, you must pay for all months (hence, you cannot simply book the apartment starting from October if you sign a contract in July). University of Forestry – Student loans and scholarships

Usually, student loans for University of Forestry are not accepted. If you study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Forestry you are allowed to apply for the Special Achievements Scholarships programme. Where is the University of Forestry - Sofia located?

The University of Forestry in Sofia is located next to the Studentski grad area (thestudents neighbourhood) in Sofia. This is the best neighourhood to live in if you want to enjoy the night life in Sofia as well as meet other students.

There are many trams and buses that have a stop close to the University. One of them – 94 – leads directly to the dormitory zone and all students facilities.The subway station "G.M. Dimitrov" is around 15 minutes walking away from the university. Another advantage is that Technical University - Sofia is located close to the university. Hence, there will be many international students (from any field) in the neighbourhood. 

Last but not least, Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria. This means that you will be able to enjoy many international events, the big international airport where you can catch a flight to other destinations as well as go skiing at Vitosha mountain.
