Transfer to a Bulgarian University

Transfer students are those who have already attended any other universities. Whether you've taken a few classes or are far along in your studies somewhere else, you can do more in Bulgaria. Transfer students who have completed at least a semester or a year at another institution have a unique admissions process which only looks at university academic transcripts, rather than high school information. 

Students who wish to transfer to Bulgaria from another university are considered in light of their personal circumstances and the availability of space in their prospective degree.

Every student who is currenly enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree can be transferred to a Bulgarian university – even those of you who are already studying in Bulgaria can move to another school! All that you have to do is to present your documents in order to get your marks recognized. The recognition of the subjects is done through the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), a tool designed to make it easier for students to move between different countries and universities. Once your documents are examined, you will be notified about the academic year you will be admitted in.
