• Bulgaria: Type D visa before entry, then residence permit after arrival • Romania: long-stay visa for studies, often linked to a ministry acceptance letter • Poland: national D visa for long-term studies, plus local residence formalities when needed
Germany / Ireland / Spain
Germany, Ireland, Spain
• Germany: admission, proof of funds, health insurance and academic documents are central • Ireland: long-stay study route plus immigration registration after arrival when applicable • Spain: consular student visa for studies over 90 days, with finance, insurance and accommodation evidence
Italy / France / Netherlands / Czechia / Hungary

• Italy: study visa before arrival plus residence permit after entry • France: long-stay student visa, often with validation or residence steps after arrival • Netherlands: institution usually leads the residence permit process for admitted students • Czechia and Hungary: long-term visa or residence permit for studies over 90 days
